Over 250 students from the Gadsden Job Corps Center walked with signs reading “More love, less hate” during Y2Y Week. Members from the community came out to join, support, and cheer on the students.
Center Director Juvenel Levros said, “The goal is unity. The message is that actions and interactions will make a positive impact on a person’s life. The one week is a challenge.”
Students talked to one another about aggression and learned how their peers have been affected by youth violence. They empowered one another to make a difference by suggesting solutions to put an end to violence in their area.
